It feels so good to have them off. soft and empty is how my mouth feels.

more good news: the orthodontist let me keep my braces. one of my friend/orthodontist's assistants in the office suggested me to make a bracelet from them. get it? "brace"let, haha. well that's exactly what i'm going to do.

Itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini....

So, I was looking on www.threadbanger.com and i got really inspired. They showed me a pattern on how to make bikini tops for tanning and walking around (not swimming) and I put my own twist to them.

I've made a green,blue and navy one, a blue and pink one, also this one. Which is red and yellow striped.

I'm working on a turquoise one...any color combination ideas? Hope you like it!

Hello! Sorry about the month-long wait.. I have been busy, lots of stuff going on.

So, I am saving up for a new computer...a Macbook, I'm hoping.. but it'll be awhile before I can get one.they are very expensive.. So, I'm using the family computer to post pictures.

I don't know if you've heard, but Aunt Leanne, www.artandlife2.blogspot.com, is going to be having a show which I will be in! I'm really excited.

I'm going to show my photography, necklaces, pillows and maybe collages.

And, I'm going to take pictures, lots.

Oh, and remember that store, the Art Shak, wanted to take some of my necklaces?..bad news..none of them sold and they sent them all back to me. I almost cried when I got the box in the mail.

I'll keep trying.

P.S. I don't know what happened to my piano collage picture, but I'll try to get it back and post it soon!

My Baby just Crashed!

Just 2 days ago, My baby (computer) just crashed. It was really unexpected, if I had known she was gonna just up and leave, I would've moved all my pictures and documents from her....but unfourtunately she had a sudden death. Guess I'll have to start over. Dad's gonna let me work for him, so I can earn some money. I'm going to try to sell some more of my artwork, so I can buy a new one.

For now, I'll use my dad's work computer, for school work. I'll try to work it out so I can put some pictures on here so, I can keep blogging. :(

I'm working on a piano collage for my piano teacher..I'll try to put up some pictures soon.

On Saturday, we welcomed someone into my family. Our new cat, Tay! My family and I have fallen in love with him; all except for Maggie (my dog)

Tay and Maggie have had a few scuffles, but now, after a few days, they can get at least four feet away from each other without growling or meowing, or fighting with each other.

I'm so excited to be back in my missed blogging world! Lots of hugs sent out to my blogging friends! I've missed you, all!

Be prepared to read, because of my long leave, I have lots of news

to tell!When I was on my great vacation at the beach, I wore my 3-in-1 necklace around a lot and lots of people complimented on it, I received one order for some necklaces from a really nice lady.

Also, the store owner of an amazing art studio/gallery called Art Shak,

we talked about the art in her studio and my artwork, and then she asked about my necklace, found out I made it and asked about letting me put my artwork in her store!! I told her I would send her pictures of my crafts and she would look and see if she liked all my

art work. Soon, the pictures will be sent and I'll know if my crafts can be in her gallery! I CAN'T wait!

After a long day of rock-climbing with friends and family, I came home to a wonderful surprise! A stuffed animal taller then my little brother, welcomed me at my front porch with a sweet note from one of my best friends. I had taught her how to make a stuffed animal a few months before....she catches on quickly!

Sorry about my long leave but hopefully I am back for good. I missed blogging and can't wait to come back to it again. I think when I left, I lost some of my inspiration, creativity, and imagination. I'm so glad I came back to the blogging world filled with all the things I've missed. I truly have missed all my amazingly creative friends! And sooo...here's what I've been up to:

Right now I am thinking of designing my brother a super-hero costume (which will definitely have a cape included)...any ideas? He wants to add his crocodile hat to the costume and wants to be called "Croc Man"

2ND PLACE!--

I won 2ND PLACE in the art contest!! The pictures my teacher picked out--"Chinese Boy" won 2nd and the abstract drawing of my brother got an honorable mention! Oh, how proud I was when I got the news from my art teacher. Also I got $10. Not bad :)

(sorry, but I don't have my pictures back from the art contest yet...I will take pictures of the ribbons and things once I get them sent back to me.)

Baby Cousin's Bunny

I am going to visit my baby cousin soon and I wanted to make her a little something. A little bunny. I decided to crochet it instead of knitting it. I can crochet a scarf in a heartbeat (actually a few days...but) and I can knit a scarf in a week. Since I decided to crochet it, the bunny has flown through my fingers and it's almost finished. I can't wait to see if she likes it!

My grandmother's friend (the one who taught me how to make the spider) is a very crafty lady. (Maybe, I will grow up to be like her.) She also taught me how to make crocheted jewelry. It's VERY simple.

Bead thin wire, chain stitch the wire until you pull your first bead up to crochet needle and chain stitch over it. Chain stitch wire and over beads until you have necklace as desired. Turn around the necklace and crochet until you get to the other side of the necklace. (Simple)

Christmas Spider

The Christmas Spider (very short version)

An old Gaelic folk tale relates the story of the busy housewife who scrubbed and polished her home for the arrival of the Christ child.

On Christmas Eve all was in readiness and the happy family was asleep. The spiders came out from their hiding places and found nowhere to spin their webs, so they climbed into the Christmas tree and festooned it with a silvery web.

To this day, a spider on your Christmas tree means you are truly ready for Christmas.

One of my grandmother's friends gave me this story and taught me a craft to go with it. She taught me how to make a Christmas spider! (out of beads and thin wire)

Tonight I made chocolate Christmas candies...yum! Peanut butter mashed between two crackers and dipped in melted chocolate! YUM YUM YUM! I don't like TOO much peanut butter so mom made me ones without. FINALLY, after 3 years, I earned my black belt. Haven't taken it off since Friday (except to go to sleep)!.... Queen Black Belt!!

1. Well.. I love to climb trees and tall rock walls, so fun!

5. Piano is really fun for me!

Khamsa (Good Luck Hand)

I made a khamsa. A khamsa is an Moroccan good luck charm in the form of a hand. A khamsa with spread fingers is said to keep away bad luck. A khamsa with closed fingers is supposed to bring good luck. I made one with closed fingers. I am going to hang it on my bedroom door, but some khamsas are worn as pendants. Here is a picture of mine.

We got terrible sun burn today!! It hurts man! HURTS! Anyway, we were walking on the beach and we saw a FISH BAG!! i would show you on my camera but wouldn't work..( it has a low battery) But we had a great time at the beach today! And here is our sunburn.

I am back home! But i miss everybody in North Carolina :( Well i guess i got to get back to my normal life... but i think we are going back there this summer!! Yay! Well the thing that is not going to change is that i am going to keep doing my blog! I will put some pictures on here of the clay pots and animals i made at my aunt's and uncle's house! She will send them from her house on Monday. So i will probably get them late next week.

My grandparents painted the same rooster in these first two pictures. I love these roosters! (below is my grandaddy's and on the left is my grandmommy's) I think that my granmommy's rooster is one of her best paintings! i love it!

today i am crocheting a white square with a black bird on it.. for my aunt leanne!! April 4th (Maggie!!)

I had a pretty good school day..it was short! I called up one of my friends, but she couldn't come and visit so i just decided to go upstairs on my laptop and watch murder mysteries all day... but later mom noticed that Maggie my dog's face was swelling up! Her cheek was first swollen then the spot moved above her eye, then the top of her nose! We called the vet then drove as fast as we could there! The vet gave her some Benedryl and said she had had a allergic reaction to a bee sting or spider bite probably.... I am glad she is not swollen anymore!!!

Maggie flipped over^ ^

Maggie.. Maggie is my dog. She is about 5 yrs. old and she is as sweet as can be... but she has some sideffects.. like having the cutest puppy-dog look when she is begging, she loves to chase the cat next-door, barks and howls at fireworks, and hates vaccum cleaners. But she loves being scratched behind the ears, popcorn, and laying in your lap. I love her anyway!!
