Guess what? my mouth is free. . . of braces!

It feels so good to have them off. soft and empty is how my mouth feels.

more good news: the orthodontist let me keep my braces. one of my friend/orthodontist's assistants in the office suggested me to make a bracelet from them. get it? "brace"let, haha. well that's exactly what i'm going to do.

She wore an....

Itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini....

So, I was looking on www.threadbanger.com and i got really inspired. They showed me a pattern on how to make bikini tops for tanning and walking around (not swimming) and I put my own twist to them.

I've made a green,blue and navy one, a blue and pink one, also this one. Which is red and yellow striped.

I'm working on a turquoise one...any color combination ideas? Hope you like it!

Hello! Sorry about the month-long wait.. I have been busy, lots of stuff going on.

So, I am saving up for a new computer...a Macbook, I'm hoping.. but it'll be awhile before I can get one.they are very expensive.. So, I'm using the family computer to post pictures.

I don't know if you've heard, but Aunt Leanne, www.artandlife2.blogspot.com, is going to be having a show which I will be in! I'm really excited.

I'm going to show my photography, necklaces, pillows and maybe collages.

And, I'm going to take pictures, lots.

Oh, and remember that store, the Art Shak, wanted to take some of my necklaces?..bad news..none of them sold and they sent them all back to me. I almost cried when I got the box in the mail.

I'll keep trying.

P.S. I don't know what happened to my piano collage picture, but I'll try to get it back and post it soon!

My Baby just Crashed!

Just 2 days ago, My baby (computer) just crashed. It was really unexpected, if I had known she was gonna just up and leave, I would've moved all my pictures and documents from her....but unfourtunately she had a sudden death. Guess I'll have to start over. Dad's gonna let me work for him, so I can earn some money. I'm going to try to sell some more of my artwork, so I can buy a new one.

For now, I'll use my dad's work computer, for school work. I'll try to work it out so I can put some pictures on here so, I can keep blogging. :(

I'm working on a piano collage for my piano teacher..I'll try to put up some pictures soon.

I've been oober busy, I just recently bruised my neck muscles, and sprained my ankle and have been dealing with piles of homework. So I haven't been doing much of anything crafty lately, but I made a little magazine collage of a lion yesterday.

On Saturday, we welcomed someone into my family. Our new cat, Tay! My family and I have fallen in love with him; all except for Maggie (my dog)

Tay and Maggie have had a few scuffles, but now, after a few days, they can get at least four feet away from each other without growling or meowing, or fighting with each other.

Today I finished my necklaces for the "Art Shak"! I'm so excited! They are going to be shipped straight down to their store today..(I hope they like them!)

Be prepared to read, because of my long leave, I have lots of news

to tell!When I was on my great vacation at the beach, I wore my 3-in-1 necklace around a lot and lots of people complimented on it, I received one order for some necklaces from a really nice lady.

Also, the store owner of an amazing art studio/gallery called Art Shak,

we talked about the art in her studio and my artwork, and then she asked about my necklace, found out I made it and asked about letting me put my artwork in her store!! I told her I would send her pictures of my crafts and she would look and see if she liked all my

art work. Soon, the pictures will be sent and I'll know if my crafts can be in her gallery! I CAN'T wait!

Lately, I had my FIRST art show! It was very exciting and fun. even though I didn't do very well. But I'm hoping I will do a lot better next time.

Braceleting Lately

I rediscovered my beads yesterday and decided to make one bracelet..then another and another and another. Now I have a little pile of bracelets and they inspire me to make even more. It's kind of addicting! Expect more to come.

Belated Birthday Present! (Tangy)

After a long day of rock-climbing with friends and family, I came home to a wonderful surprise! A stuffed animal taller then my little brother, welcomed me at my front porch with a sweet note from one of my best friends. I had taught her how to make a stuffed animal a few months before....she catches on quickly!

Just Clownin' Around

I'm using my beautiful clown my grandmother bought for me in New Orleans as a model for my latest drawings.

Pretty, isn't she? I love all of her fun and fancy colorful outfit she wears.

Queen Crafty Girl is back! ..finally

Sorry about my long leave but hopefully I am back for good. I missed blogging and can't wait to come back to it again. I think when I left, I lost some of my inspiration, creativity, and imagination. I'm so glad I came back to the blogging world filled with all the things I've missed. I truly have missed all my amazingly creative friends! And sooo...here's what I've been up to:

Right now I am thinking of designing my brother a super-hero costume (which will definitely have a cape included)...any ideas? He wants to add his crocodile hat to the costume and wants to be called "Croc Man"

2ND PLACE!--

I won 2ND PLACE in the art contest!! The pictures my teacher picked out--"Chinese Boy" won 2nd and the abstract drawing of my brother got an honorable mention! Oh, how proud I was when I got the news from my art teacher. Also I got $10. Not bad :)

(sorry, but I don't have my pictures back from the art contest yet...I will take pictures of the ribbons and things once I get them sent back to me.)

Hooray! My art teacher finally picked my works of art for the upcoming local art contest...I'm so excited! Here are the art works she picked: the abstract drawing of my brother which she combined with the bracelet abstract drawing at the bottom
