Henry Matisse

I was studying Henry Matisse in school today. I found Icarus, a cut-out painting by Matisse. Its bright colors inspire me. I love it!

Bright colours inspire me too... great you are interested in other artists like Matisse.

Your crow costume was inspired! If I go to a Halloween party next year, I may just have to borrow your idea.

I wish we studied various artists at school. As you say, it would have been inspiring.

Is this picture by Matisse or is it a piece that you were inspired to make?

Ooh, thank you for the link by the way! :)

Thanks Jacky! I am glad you enjoy my crow costume, you may borrow the idea :)

Hey Undaunted, I didn't paint this painting, Matisse did. But maybe I should draw something like it some time!

Love,
Queeny

Yes! Love the Matisse! What I love about his later work is that he didn't let his eye problems pull him down for long. He just changed to bigger and brighter and simpler.

Matisse! One of my favorites. And also one of Me Mommmy's. You should show her your blog this weekend. Good luck and I am thinking about you.
